I’m amazed!
Most of all, Praise God! I’m halfway there with the financial supports.
Thank you to those who has made donations so far. Especially as of
today, 3 people have made such generous donations/commitments of monthly
payments…..from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!! (You know who you
are, Love you all!) Because of that, I was able to go ahead with
purchasing the flight tickets and medical insurances that’s required to
have before I go.I’m officially leaving on January 26th instead of February 1st. Feb 1st
were sold out but the 26th had the CHEAPEST FARE I’ve EVER seen with
this airline. This airline still provides the best prices but this time
the 26th was best price.Sunday morning, Dec 23rd, I went to my parents’ church with my oldest
sister’s family and with my parents. My mother asked me to go up front
with her to announce about my going to Jamaica, and to pray for me
etc… as I was standing up there…. a flashback came to my mind…. I
think the last time I was up front of the church was when I asked to be
baptized….and there I was again, this time to be prayed for as I go
out to the mission field. That was just awesome! I never dream of doing
this!! It’s humbling. When my mother was announcing this, she was saying
something like this, “YOU (the Dayton Avenue Baptist Church) are the
ones who have taught her about being a Christian. Now I’m seeing my
daughter out to the mission field.” I gotta give the kudos to my “home”
family church, DABC.Today, as I am posting this blog, my youngest sister’s husband, Jim
Menne is traveling to Sudan, Africa and will be staying there for 3
weeks. He’ll be working on teaching men to become Pastors in Sudan and
leading them in starting churches. This is part of his internship for
Pastors Degree. Pray for his safety during his stay there. Pray for my
sister, Diana and 2 sons being here in Illinois with family. Check out on my blogroll…on the right side…click on Sudan, Africa ( you’ll see “e3Sudan” That’s the organization he’s going through.)
I continue to look forward to see what God has in store for me, for the
Jamaicans, for the deaf children and adults in Jamaica during the time
I’m there.
